Is your baby scheduled?

I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed your baby having certain activities in there at certain times of the day.

I have noticed that Elias has the hiccups for about 15 minutes at intervals of about every 3 hours while I am up and moving around. Honestly they are getting a little irritating and if I hear one more person comment on how cute that is I might have to say something not nice! You can actually see my belly bouncing up and down with each one. DH put his head to my belly once and said he could hear them and then when he quit DH could hear the baby's hearbeat. So that was really cool. Anyway, Elias also has very defined periods of movement and rest usually around him having the hiccups.

Will this schedule carry over to after he is born?

Moo is a night child. She plays mostly after 8pm and stays quiet most of the day....

Well, I hope this baby changes her schedule a bit after she's born. Right now I rarely feel/see her during the day, but at night (after 10:00) she is active. She is also active whenever I wake at night. I don't think she is waking me up, but my waking up also wakes her. She is active early in the morning too.

My first baby was a terrible sleeper (up several times a night). My second baby made my first look like a really good sleeper (wouldn't settle down until after midnight every night, only fell asleep at the breast for the first 18 months of his life, was up a lot during the night, up by 7:00 every morning and refused naps at any scheduled interval). He was not cranky while awake, just didn't need more than about 11-12 hours of total sleep a day.

Reminds me. I should dust off my copy of the "No Cry Sleep Solution." Maybe I can start this one out better!

This one seems to be moving and active 24/7. It kicks my bed and it kicks my seatbelt. It kicks the dopler at the ob's office and it kicks my six year old's hand when she puts it on my belly. I am really really worried that there will be NO sleep in my house once this child is born LOL

My first slept all night in utero and slept all night after she was born. We actually had to set a clock to wake us to make sure she didn't go too long between nursings (she was an under 4lb preemie when she came home). My second wasn't consistant before or after she was born, but deffinately had times of wakefulness and times of rest in her schedule in utero and the same once she was in my arms. This one has me more than a little worried LOL

Liba ~ I think you're carrying my ds's twin! He was on the go. I remember telling dh that if his constant motion continued after birth, we were in for one wild ride. Well . . . I hate to tell you . . .sleep was not an option for us!

But your little one may settle in just fine.

My baby girl seems to be the total opposite. She mainly squirms and rolls. Every now and then she'll give a good kick, but only one. And if anyone puts a hand on my belly to feel her, she gets still.

She usually wakes up when I lie down with ds at his bedtime. She rocks and rolls for about 30 minutes, then calms down again. She doesn't get the hiccups like ds did! He had them all the time (and it IS irritating!).

I do think she's a lot more laid back than ds. We'll see!
