Clothes lines and lint

I'm looking for tips. It's been so hot here that yesterday I dedided to hang my clothes on the line instead of use the dryer. But darn, there is lint on them and of course they are wrinkled.

Anytips for cutting down on the lint? I'm wondering if there is something I can do either before or during washing that would help. I really don't want to go over all my chothes with a lint brush once they are dry. I was thinking a quick run through the dryer would fluff them so I don't have to iron and get rid of the lint.

But does anyone know a more eco friendly way?

I dry my clothes on the line, and I've found that there is usually one item of clothing that is causing the others to get lint. I don't know how you separate your clothing, but don't wash towels with your clothes--they make tons of lint. Also, my clothes are usually not wrinkled when they come off the line, and the crispness goes away right after I put them on.

Thanks for the tip I'll look and see what may be the source of the lint. I know I don't mix towels with my other laundry.

Thanks :-)
