Belly cast

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Are you doing a belly cast (s)? I want to, but I haven't yet. I have seen kits online as well as recipes/supplies lists for doing it on your own.

I didn't do this with dd, but I really wanted to!

Hey Michelle!

I'm a June mama but just wanted to pop in and say that we are doing my belly cast this weekend!

I bought the supplies at AC Moore yesterday. I actually just did a search here on "belly cast" to hopefully find some directions/ helpful hints and I came across your thread!

My friends are throwing me a Baby Blessing and we will be maing a belly cast. I will only be 35 weeks along when we do, but July is busy and my first was early, so early we never made the cast!, so better at 35 weeks than never! A friend who has a background in sculpture will be taking charge of making mine, we'll likely just use the paster strips from the craft store, btu she plans on weaving in some strands of silk! I am so excited! We made one for a friend in January and used the plaster strips, they were very easy, not too uncomfortable (she said!) and were easy to find. I'd love to see photos of the casts (June mama's too!) once they are done.
