My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
To anyone looking for a carrier, BECO is the brand!
I recently had purchased the Gemini, great carrier! It has everything you will ever need and want, its ergonomic, comfy, organic, made...
Another mama (Mabelsmama-hi!) turned me onto this wonderful group. I just bought my first CD online, but had trouble choosing. Just wondering if any of you could make a recommendation of which of their CDs are the best?
Thanks!
We have one of the kids ones -Peace is the World Smiling and also a more traditional one (why, why,why can't I remember the name) that is our favorite. Um, it's All for Freedom. DS who is just two loves this CD and sings along in the car. Its a nice mix of kid friendly and Mama soothing.
Peace,
MamaMichele
we probably own every album and CD they've put out...I'd suggest going on some site (amazon perhaps?) and just looking at the titles and descriptions for each project - some are more traditional gospel, some include adaptations of folk songs, etc. I don't think you can go wrong really.
I know my personal fave is the CD that has the song: "There were No Mirrors in my Grandma's House" (I think it came out in the 90s) - can't remember the title right now - I'll try and add it later. It also has "I'm Going to get My Baby Out of Jail."
Go see them in concert soon - if possible - I hear Bernice Johnson Reagon may be retiring...
burritomama: we have that one--it's Breathe. Has those songs as well as Your Children (the Kahlil Gibran piece) and the cool title tune, where they talk about the spirits of fire and water...
They are wonderful to see live, 'cause they always have the mostr beautiful sign language interpretation of the songs too.
I'm looking for more of them. I love Bernice; hope I hook up with them this summer, before she retires, if that's happening!!
Nick has a sweet video of this song--though it's Nana's rather than Grandma's in the video--that has been playing for the last week in the mornings. I've been waking up with this song in my head, and enjoying that happening for once.
The CD with "Your Children" is the first and so far only CD of theirs we have. Got it for that and the song "We Are One".
After digging through our CD collection: Sacred Ground is the ONE we have and "On Children" is not on it. We have "On Children" on a Sound & Spirit compilation CD. I knew I'd never heard "No Mirrors" before. Must add Breathe to the CD shopping list!
