Ok, so I am working on my first soaker and it is going very well, a lot easier than I thought it would be. First off I never did a gauge swatch... I have no clue what that is so I just skipped it. So what is a gauge swatch?
Second, I am having trouble with this part of the pattern:
"Insert a short row across the backside approximately every 8 rows by working as follows:
After about an inch, knit across ..." yadda yadda
What is that inch refering to? I am assuming you knit until 1 stitch before the blue marker, wrap and turn, purl until 1 stitch before the red marker, wrap and turn, then continue knitting. But what does the inch have to do with anything?
