Can I BITCH?

I'm sorry, I know some people are on bedrest for much longer than 3 weeks, but I am so pissy right now.... I am tired, the terbutaline SUCKS, I get bored and want to just get out and when I do sneak out, I get contractions like you wouldn't believe! AUGH!!!!!!!!!

Last night and now again this evening, I've been getting 4-5 contrax an hour. They hurt, but I can talk through them. My doc said that as long as I don't have a bloody show, and I can talk through the contrax and they aren't more than 7-8 an hour, that it's ok and I should just try to hydrate and rest.

AUGH!!!! I swear I have spent 2 weeks now feeling like the day before my period.... I hit the end of 35 weeks yesterday. I see my doc on Tuesday and I get off the terb next Saturday. I should be off bedrest then... I figure with the nu,mber of contrax I am getting WITH the terb, this kid may just be an early June baby!

I hate this. I am torn between wanting her to gestate longer and wanting the labor to just begin. I want to cry. I am feeling sorry for myself...

I've never been on bed rest but can imagine how torn you are at trying to be patient and being impatient at the same time. Many to you.

You have every right to complain! I had my first experience with turbutaline this weekend, thanks to pre-term contractions at 31 weeks. Luckily the contractions stopped after 2 shots and I was send home with orders to stay horizontal for two days. It's driving me crazy! I have so much that I need to get done, and DH is not very chipper about doing the housework and grocery shopping while I'm resting. The most stressful thing is facing the fact that I may have to go on "real" bedrest at some point in the next 2 months, or that baby may come early. I hope your uterus (and mine!) settles down so you can enjoy the last month of your pregnancy1

I've not been through it myself, but when I worked in the hospital (I'm a medical social worker) I spent a lot of time with my bedrest mommies (this was back in the days when there was no oral form of terbutaline so they were stuck in the hospital for the duration). It sucked for everyone! The terb is double trouble because it makes you so antsy while you are supposed to be doing nothing!

Been there! And yes it does suck, big time. Terb didn't work for me either, but I think I've told my story before.
