Hi,
I am six weeks pregnant with my second child. It's been nine years since I was pregnant with my first, so as you can imagine, I'm a little rusty!
I've been reading about all the birth hypnosis programs, and I am fascinated! Trouble is, I don't know which to choose. The three I've been reading about are:
Hypbirth
Hypnobirthing
Hypnobabies
I was wondering if anyone has any experience to share. I've not seen ANYTHING written (on boards) about Hypbirth, and judging from the website, it sounds fabulous. Then again, everything sounds fabulous on its own website!
Money is very tight, so I probably won't be taking a formal class. I liked that Hypnobabies and Hypbirth both have homestudy options, but I seem to remember reading that some women have used Hypnobirthing without a class.
Incidentally, I trained to be a Bradley instructor many moons ago, but never actually taught. Somewhere down the line it dawned on me that, although I think it's probably a very good program for some, it wasn't really all that helpful in my own very difficult birth. I think I had an unmedicated birth in spite of it, rather than because of it, KWIM? Anyway, I'm glad to have the materials and knowledge going into this birth, but I want something more.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Michelle
