Post c/b questions

I didn't want to post this on the support thread because not everyone reads it and I seem to lose questions I've asked

I have some incision questions. I haven't had any problems; no infection, no openings, nothing like that. With T I didn't have any prolonged numbness around my incision. This time though I have a band about 1.5-2 inches on either side of the incision that are STILL numb and I'm 4 months pst c/b.

Will the feeling come back? I can feel when it itches but I can't feel the scratch. Sometimes when the area gets bumped it hurts like heck!

Any words of wisdom??

nak

My experience was that feeling came back, but it took quite a while... maybe as much as a year?

IOF,
Not to sound depressing, but my last c-section was 18.5 years ago, and I still have a numb area.

Grrr... thats what I was afraid of

I'm planning on, after I lose weight, to get a tatoo on my c/b scar or at least around it. I guess that could be a good thing if it is numb

I had the same sensation (or lack thereof) after a different surgery. Doc said it was from the nerve endings being severed but that the feeling usually comes back in time. It did for me, but it felt so strange before it came back!

Hi, my c/s was just over three years ago, and I definitely still have some numbness around my incision, but the area definitely got smaller over time.

It takes time for the cut nerves to grow back. I have never noticed any lose of feeling on my c-section scar, though. However, it does bother me to have something low on it and rubbing on it.

I do have a cut on my arm that happened when I was five, it went down to the bone; I'm 32 now and still don't have feeling on and around that scar.

I have to say that I never really got the feeling back the way it was. My first c-section was almost 5 years ago and it was still like that with my last babe Sorry (it does bother me a bit) But remember, every woman is different!!! So it may not be like that for you

For me, the feeling hasn't come back. It's been 7.5 years since my first c-sec and I don't expect to ever get feeling back again. It kinda creeps me out with how it doesn't really feel at all, like a foot that has fallen asleep.

It is weird how I know its there and I can tell I'm touching it but I have no real feeling in it. I do remember it hurting really baad if anything rubbed on it about 3 weks pp. Thankfully that sensation has gone away.

Another question: Can you still see where your epidural went in?? Its like I have 2 little holes from both c/bs and not too long ago one of them was hurting. I don't remember it hurting before either...
