I don't think many people could appreciate this other than those who are going to be pregnant in the summer. On the news they are saying that we're going to be having a long cold summer! Whoohoo!! I was so dreading having a hot summer and being miserable! We've had a cold wet spring and I haven't minded a bit! Finally, some good news for today

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Hmmm, 94 here already. I'm wondering who defines what cold is? LOL.

That is interesting, it has been cold here in Northern Michigan. We have yet to reach the 70's for more than one day at a time. I would like it to get a little warmer though, but yeah, definitely don't want any heat waves. We didn't go to the beach much last year b/c it was cold, I guess it will be the same this year too.

We live in a Maritime climate, surrounded by water on all sides (except a little connector to the mainland), so our weather here is different than in a lot of areas.
The quote for the segment on our news website is "Cool, grey and damp for weeks to come:
Predictions of a cold, dreary summer. That forecast comes from Environment Canada. In its latest long-term forecast, the weather office says Nova Scotia can expect a lot more of the cool grey days that have dampened our spring. As Tom Murphy reports, to make matters worse, we're one of the few areas of the country with a lousy summer forecast. http://novascotia.cbc.ca/tv/canadanow/media/20040601ns_longterm_weather.ram"

Ugh, speak for yourself! It's been in the low 90's here already more times than I can count on my hands and almost every day we have tornado and/or thunderstorm warnings. I am heading north for most of this month though so hopefully I can just stay inside for July.

Well, I may be the odd one out here, but I am craving those hot summer lazy days and just waiting for this rain to pass and bring back our 80-85 degree weather to soaking wet Ohio.
I have a pg swimsuit and only 8 weeks +/- to wear it and I want to get my $$ worth of wear out of it!...:LOL

I'm with you, Traci. I long for the 80-85 degree days. Sounds heavenly. But, 90's is summer here, so I'll just have to wait for the fall again.
You'll rarely find me out of my swimsuit these days. I lucked out and found two suits on clearance at a local breastfeeding shop that are adorable! And, they were 75% off of $52, so got them both for about $27! Woo-hoo! I promptly returned the suit I'd ordered from Penney's which was really quite plain once it arrived.
Off to the lake I go! We're spending the day there today.

Of course it's cold in Nova Scotia! It's been in the 80's/90's here all May... and I don't think cold weather is expected. There's no emoticon for envy, is there???
