Last night while taking a bath for some reason I felt compelled to look at Sheila Kitzinger's The Complete Book of Pregnancy and Childbirth which I haven't looked at for a long time because her wishy-washiness on some subjects is annoying to me, and she is way too basic and boring on others, but amazingly enough I learned something wonderful (I'd probably read it but it just didn't sink in because it wasn't pertinent at the time...)
"The mucous membrane inside the nostrils and sinuses often swells up during pregnancy because of the action of hormones liberated in the bloodstream which are also, fortunately, softening up your vagina and cervix."
Cool! All this suffering won't have been for nothing! Judging by the state of my nose, my vagina and cervix ought to be getting real soft. :LOL It would be interesting to do a poll afterward and see if those of us with pregnancy-induced allergies had easier and faster labors...

I spent a lot of time in the tent flipping from one side to the other, and the sleeping bag I was on top of was TOO HOT and I got all sweaty and the train kept BLARING its horn as it passed every 3 hours, and today I'm sore... But all in all, a great adventure and I'm so glad we had one final camping trip before the babies arrive!
