I just got home from seeing Lyle Lovett and maybe it's a Texas thing but I have to say that he was WONDERFUL.I love his music and seeing him live..he is just like his music. So down home and charming.
I felt like I was hangin on the front porch with him. Are there any other Lyle fans out there?

I am in Austin

and they play him a lot on KJSR... though I have never seen him perform, he does have some fun songs and I enjoy listening to him!

ME TOOOOO!!

Although I didn't think he was playing this summer after his little mishap with the bull. I'll have to look up his tour dates to see if he's coming up the east coast at all.

I fall into his voice whenever I hear him sing, "I Married Her Just Because She Looks Like You".

Oh yeah, love Lyle Lovett! When Julia Roberts married and everyone was wondering why I was like 'Have you HEARD his music???' He's so cool and sardonic...I'd love to see him in concert!

Lyle Lovett is on my "list", IYKWIM. He's so smart and sexy and that *hair* just gets me in my knees. I've been a fan for years and it was KGSR who turned me on to him. We don't live in Austin anymore, so I rarely hear him on the radio, but I listen to his CDs all the time. Alec has loved his music since he was about 4 months old; I think it's the slow, male voice. I bet he thinks his daddy is singing to him. If only dh *did* sing like that!

Man he is sexy isn't he. I am so glad you posted that TwinMom because people always talk about how unattractive he is and let me say....WHEW DOGGIE!!! He was even SEXIER on that stage. DH just doesn't understand the appeal, but he did buy the tickets and take me so....big brownie points for dad on that one.
Yes...the bull. That didn't stop him, He was on crutches and sat the whole time. Gosh darn it I am getting all worked up just thinking about last night. He decided to start his tour in Texas instead of end it this year so I am sure he will be your way soon. DON'T MISS IT!
And that band and back up singers...wow they are a show on there own!

I recently read a book in which one of the characters had a thing for Lyle Lovett. She said that she just knew he "shredded in bed." "It's always the skinny ones," she said. Apparently they have stamina. Mmmm-MMMM!

Oh, yeah, what's the deal with the bull? I know that his mom gave him a bull for his birthday 'cause he's scared of cows. Did it hurt him? I guess so if he's on crutches. I wonder if he'll be coming through Dallas.

Skinny men, in my non-carnal experience are generally very well-endowed. Now that might just be the skinny men I've personally seen, but I'd like to think it's true of Lyle. Mary Chapin Carpenter had it right...Dwight and Lyle. HooHA!
