Feb Due Dates Unite!!! Week of June 7-14!! - Page 3

due february 17, 2005

hello everyone. i'm afraid to jump in but will anyhow LOL after i already post below somewehre LOL. i'm about 3 weeks 9 days. i have my 1st appt. 6/30. later than i wanted but probably better to see what's going on. the receptionist said 8-10 weeks and i was like hold the phone lol.

i'm cramping, spotting i think, and my cervix is *really* soft, like fertile/af soft. so now i'm scared to death after i allowed myself to get excited. can someone hold my hand?

okay i'm hitting submit.

We'll all hold your hand Denise, there are actually an unusual number of us on this due date thread that are in pregnancies after miscarriage.
As I said over on TTC though, early spotting is fairly normal hun. Try to relax and have fun!!

: hug Denise

It was really hard for me to get up the nerve to post here too. We will definitely hold your hand.

That said, I could use a little handholding myself. I just got my HCG level back from yesterday. It was 52. I was either 14 or 16 DPO. My MW didn't seem to think that was great news. According to this lab 50-500 is 1-2 weeks...

I've read enough to know that it's the increase that matters, not one solitary value. I think I understand that better than the midwife does. She wanted me to wait until Monday to come back for a repeat, but when she heard the slight panic in my voice, she changed her mind and suggested tomorrow.

So what should I expect for tomorrow? I have read double every 72 hours. I have read 60% increase every 48 hours. What do you all know? I may not get the results until Monday though, so I need to calm down.

Deep breath.

Ok, I have a question for you all, maybe you have heard this from your friends and relatives too perhaps???

SO, I tell my mom that I am 6 weeks pregnant based on what I have gotten from Charts and sites like fertility friend that you just punch in your first day of your last menstral cycle. SO, she says Im wrong, Im only 4 weeks pregnant. ANd technically she is right. The fetus is only 4 weeks old...I got pregnant mid May. SO, WHY oh why do they give me a 6 week date. If I remember from my old pregnancy book they would start the week by week off at 2 weeks, even though technically and correctly you arent pregnant in your first 2 weeks. WHy do they do this? WHy dont they just say that you are how many weeks from mid cycle...when you probably ovulated? So, that means that technically and correctly we are only pregnant 38 weeks, not 40.

My mom is driving me crazy about this again...I forget how I shut her up last time!!! Does anyone have an answer to this? SHe hates that I tell people that I am a6 weeks when Im really only a month. I know I shouldnt care what she says, but its kinda bugging me too......

Hope someone has some answers!

Hi Ladies! I finally found this thread. I have never posted on MDC before this pregnancy so I am still finding my way around. I read some of the threads and noticed a lot of you have had miscarriages before and are dealing with some stuff now. I am so sorry. I can't imagine. That must be awful. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I wish everyone healthy, full term pregancies.

I am feeling well so far. Not really any symptoms except I am sooooo super tired and I have heartburn like crazy. I know I am pg when I get heartburn cuz I only get it when I am pg.

We still haven't told any family. I am so anxious. Hubby wants to wait. I can't for very long. Have you all told family and friends yet??

Okay, little man is stinky so gotta run! Oh by the way, how do you get your cute personalized signatures?? I want one!!

I'm here!

Guess who's sick. : Not m/s either. I got a cold that has settled in my chest. I feel terrible and my hormones are all over the place. I don't remember being this emotional with my first pregnancy. I'm sure my being sick is making it even worse. I'd really like to just stay in bed and hide for a week or two!

I have a question for you guys.
Would you mind if your mil told EVERYBODY you are expecting before you had the chance to tell them??
My sil understands my anger, but my husband just doesn't see it. How would you feel?

Parker'sMommy: I think this is done, because it is assumed that most women do not know when they ovulate, but do know when their last period was. It provides a uniform starting point. Of course women have all different types of cycles with great variation on length, so the uniformity is an illusion.

AmBam: Welcome! If you go under the "User CP" tab at top of the page, I think there is an "Edit Signature" option. If you post your due date in this thread then Shannon (who is taking care of the thread for the week) will add you to the list at the beginning of this thread.

Of course it probably won't be until tomorrow since Shannon is no doubt getting ready to go to her sex toy bridal shower right about now .

Well, here I am. Due Feb 17, I think. I haven't had many symptoms other than sore boobs and slight upset tummy. However, today I had the most horrific attack of gastric distress that I have had in a looooong time. Of course I was incredibly paranoid, but all seems well. I keep obsessively groping my breasts just to make sure that they are still sore.
Anyway, I look forward to a healthy nine months with you ladies!

I remembered another sym from last time: My immune system doesn't work for crap! I came down with a cold yesterday that immediately settled in my chest. I am coughing like crazy, which is makes my uterus feel like it is being ripped from my body. I am hitting the vitamin C so I am hopeful it will pass soon. If anyone hasn't picked it up by now, I am a "solve it with nutrition/vitamins" freak.:LOL The best part is we are going to my mil's this weekend and my stepfil smokes a pipe (he doesn't actually smoke when we are there, but it's not like the smell just dissappers the minute he stops! Which is what my mil seems to think.) so my poor lungs are going to get a double stress. Also, my dh doesn't want to tell his family we're preg. yet. But I think my ds might have picked up on the "baby in mommy's tummy". I can just imagine him saying something when everybody is there on Saturday! (its a fam party for ds 2nd b-day) esp since my best friend is also preg, due in Nov, and her daughter talks about "baby in mommy's tummy" all the time and my ds is with her alot! so . . . this could be a very interesting weekend! My dh is kinda like shannon's--"can't we just wait until the last possible minute to tell them? Like when you are totally showing and we can't deny it anymore"! LOL I hear rumors of people that have great il, but it is just a little hard to wrap my brain around!LOL

Parker'smommy, I get confused about the whole "how preg am I" thing too. I chart, so I know when I ovulate (~day 19) and I have 35day cycles, so I don't fit their 28 day cycle/day14 ovulation mold. I know my due date based on my chart. So I found out what week I'm at by going to Baby Center and signing up for their emails using my self-calculated due date rather than first day of last period. They say I am 4wk preg. Which is about a week less than what the dr will decide based on fdlp. I am taking in a copy of my chart and telling them when I'm due! There will be no inductions here! (side note: my dh laughs at me because I often go off about how I refuse to be induced, babys being late is mostly a figment of dr imagination etc. but my ds was almost 6 wk early!:LOL dh thinks I should just worry about keeping baby in long enough.)

Due on 8 February

(I just PMd Shannon with this info as well.)

I'm due 8 February; we're planning a VBA2C homebirth! Has anyone else here had a VBAC, at home or otherwise? I'm so scared, but even more scared of being in a hospital.

I'm still feeling okay. I got a little nauseous today while washing diapers, but didn't actually vomit. By this time in my other pregnancies I was getting sick multiple times a day, so hopefully this bodes well for this pregnancy. It would be awesome to only have light morning sickness instead of severe all-day sickness! I have noticed that I'm NOT hungry at ALL. Just the thought of eating makes me feel sick. The only thing I do want to eat, occasionally, is fresh fruit, which I'm having to severely limit. I have had g.d. each pregnancy so I'm following a diabetic diet early in hopes of not developing it this time. It doesn't allow for much fresh fruit!

I had gd as well with first preg. From stuff I've read since, I am sorta suspicious of the whole gd thing. (Too much Henci Goer and Ina May Gaskin maybe) Three things I am planning to do are 1. exercise (walk) daily or as close to daily as possible 2. eat a whole foods diet, leaving out processed foods, simple sugars, and white flour 3. take my vitamins! There has been speculation that diabetes in some people may actually be B6 deficiency. Considering how much your need for B6 increases when your preg., this could very well be the case. I am taking 200mg B6 daily in 50mg doses, so if everything I've read is true, this should keep me from 1.gd 2.varicose veins 3. m/s I'll let you know in 9months if it worked!:LOL!

I'm off to mil for weekend, so I'll see you ladies on Monday! Sending happy baby thoughts to all of you.

Good Morning ladies
I am officially 4wks and 4 days. This pregnancy is completely different then my others. My nipples are extremely sensitive but my breasts are not sore at all. Usually my breasts are so sore I can't go with out a bra. I have been very tired. My dh doesn't want me to tell anybody. It is so hard. I've told my best friend who is preg also. I need to have somebody to talk to.
Has anybody used the chinese lunar calandar to figure out what you are having? According to it I'm having a girl. I know that this will be my last baby. Even though I really want three my dh is adament about only having 2. So I'm hoping that this baby is a girl . Has anyone thought of names yet? I know its early. I think we are going to use my grandmothers first names. If it'a a girl. I have no idea if it is a boy though.

ok, so i know that we were happy to be nauseous 'cause it was a definite symptom...but i gotta say, it's pretty yucky hanging out yarfing in the office bathroom (like i did for ten minutes this morning).

Hi Deb! My name is Amber and I had a VBAC at home assisted by midwives in March 03! It was awesome!! I am planning another home birth with this one. I was way more scared to go to the hospital than I was to stay home also. I Had a super long labor and had I been at the hospital I know they would have sectioned me. Anyway, you can do it. The hardest part for me was convincing myself that my body could really do it. I was induced with my c-sec when I was 10 days overdue. So with the homebirth I had a fear that my body wouldn't go into labor on it's own. I did and only 5 days late!! It was beautiful and I wouldn't have it any other way. Good luck to you.

Amber

It says I'm having a girl but it said that last time too so I don't put much stock in that thing! LOL. I'm not picky anyways, everyone assumes I want a girl because we have three boys but honestly I really don't care. Four boys would be so cool but then again a girl would be a nice change

Cute sig Amber!

Hi ladies!

I'm 4 wks 3 days. I'm ravenous already, and feeling pretty sluggish (which is interesting, since I have two 2 year-olds!! ) The cramping seems to be diminishing a little, though still noticeable.

This is a cross-post, but I had beta/prog done at 15 DPO at HCG was 326 and progesterone was 13. Anyone - especially Shannon - know if this prog is normal? Seemed low-ish to me. The OB said as long as it's above 11, but still...

Oh, minor thing - I saw on the first page under my user name that it is associated with the wrong IRL name. My name is Karen. Thanks!

And speaking of that page, we sure do have a lot of Valentine's babies due!
