I did but didn't realize it until the midwife used one of those fish tank nets (we had a water birth) to scoop it out. I was a bit embarrased but figured if they had a fish net around, it must be common.

Most moms do. As a Mother/baby RN..... we really don't care. It's par for the coarse. Most people never know they do because we don't even flinch. Just discretely fold the paper under you to expose the next one in the pile.

Really, don't sweat it.

The mental pic of that is funny.

Oh ya! With all 3, it's like--how could you not????? The first time I was in the hospital and I was more embarrased when some fluid when flying and splooosed a nurse at the end of the table...Sorry! She quietly complained and went to get changed ......just ty NOT to next time, It's gonna happen so let it go! I'd rather be all fresh inside so the dreaded 1st pp poo will be 'doo'-able. Yes, by now I'm shameless!

Yep, I did. I voted that I was mortified, but really I was half embarassed, half didn't really care. I knew it could happen, but didn't want it to happen, you know? I really shouldn't have cared at all being in the middle of drug-free labor (with other things to worry about!), but I still remember thinking "oh damn it, not that!!!" :

Although, I was pretty witty when it happened. I said something like "oh well, what's gotta come out, has got to come out" and the nurse laughed and said that was the attitude she liked to hear.

I ended up with a c-section, so I didn't get the point of pooping. But I must say, it was one of my biggest fears about childbirth! My boss, who is also a midwife, had many talks with me about pooping (she'd also been paranoid about it). I remember coming home from one of our birthing classes and crying in the car, because I didn't want DH to see me poop. I can't even go to the loo if he's in the next room! He just laughed and said he was sure his mind would be on other things.

But you know, even though I didn't get to find out (this time) if I'd poop during pushing, I don't really think I'd care if I had. Once labour was really underway, I didn't care who saw me do what. I was sitting naked on the birthing ball for quite awhile, because I just needed to be quiet and focus and putting on a tshirt would have disrupted my happy place!

Yep, I did and I could care less, I was a little busy at the time :LOL Honestly I wouldn't have know had I not been able to smell it! I was a little embarrested the next day though after having what seemed like the entire world come in and out of my room, I walked by the trash can and it reeked of poop I guess I can deny it was mine, so it was dd's! :LOL
