What to do with old lemons and oranges

dh wanted some lemons and orange and didn't eat them so I have 3 of each. Sometimes I cut up a lemon and put it down the disposal to freshen it. Any other ideas?

I remember making a pomander of an orange with lots of whole cloves stuck into it, and then letting it dry. I don't know if starting with an "old" orange would change anything.

in a hurry here but:

lemon
water
nuke
let sit
wipe microwave
fresh & clean!
