Doing that back carry where you tie the chest knot...

OK, so... I need help tweaking this carry. Tupelo was right, I needed something other than the Tibetan. The Tibetan eventually started pulling on my neck and shoulders.

Anyway... here is what I'm doing but I'm not sure it it's right:

I put her up just like I do for the Tibetan, wrap across her back and under her armpits so she is laying on my back. I do this standing, like on the Mamatoto site. Then, instead of keeping the wrap over my shoulders I kind of flip it underneath my armpits and tie it right above my boobs. Then I flip the ends back over my shoulders and criss-cross them under her butt... then what? With the Tibetan I tuck them into the front straps, what do I do here?

She is ultra-crab today so I can't practice too much.

When you bring the fabric up over your shoulders, do it one side at a time and hold the side you aren't using tightly between your knees (so you get a nice, tight wrap).

Bring the fabric down over her back, making sure to spread it out over her entire back, then under her butt and leg and around your hip (the hip opposite the shoulder that you brought it over). Put that end between your knees and let the other side go.

Bring the other side over your other shoulder and repeat as you did with the next side, bring it around the front of your opposite hip.

Then take both sides in front of you, hop a little while pulling them (to pull tight) and tie them in a square knot in the front of your waist. If there's too much fabric left, you can cross them and tie the knot under your baby's butt.
