Can you help me with this, knitting needle ?/identification

i found a pair of packaged needles with the brand name Susan Bates 10" 6mm size 10 according to the package. also has the description of being silvalume knitting needles.

are these decent needles? what would they be best used for? i have no clue about knitting but i imagine some needles are best for some projects etc. are these all purpose needles?

The needles are fine -- not my favorites, but I have some and they're definitely usable. Size 10 needles are relatively large, and would be best for knitting a project like an afghan or an adult sweater.
