pattern for knitted wool soaker + questions

i'm interested in knitting soakers for DS (i learned in first grade at Waldorf so am good but not fabulous -- i'm good at following patterns, though). so, i'm interested in patters/directions for doing this, as well as advice on types of yarn, needle size, etc.

also, a few questions about soakers. right now we use fuzzi bunz but i've noticed talk about soakers all over the place. how exactly do they work? it seems that folks love them for nighttimes? thought i'd ask and then try one out for myself!

Yay for waldorf...i learned to knit at waldorf too...i was just thinking today how cool that is...im (proudly) knitting a wee teddy for a friends baby...im pleased you asked about the soakers...thats what i had in mind next...i went over to daipering to see about a simple soaker pattern and got so overwhelmed, those gals are nuts! (georgous stuff though) so ill wait here ...
