My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
To anyone looking for a carrier, BECO is the brand!
I recently had purchased the Gemini, great carrier! It has everything you will ever need and want, its ergonomic, comfy, organic, made...
Hi guys... I know this isn't diapering, but I figured you ladies would know. Where can I get some pretty mama cloth pads? I am (finally) making the switch. Spam me.
check out the Sellin' Threads Mama Cloth at http://stores.nurturemama.com/StoreFront.bok it's currently on sale, is super-soft and absolutely GORGEOUS. i spent over $100 on a stash of it for myself and i am absolutely satisfied and completely thrilled.
ck out freshies. Kendall has some beautiful work. She got highly recomended on the last thread like this not too long ago, so did HPC. Do a search of this forum for mama cloth, there might be another one I'm forgetting.
Ok, I checked out the threads, how many pads would you recommend? I've been nursing or pg for so l can't remember!! Post-partum--do I really need special pads? Would someone care to give me some advice? I just got a check from my mom, so I have some cash to buy pads this is exciting for me!!!
i'd recommend at least 12-24 postpartum pads to start with, plus regular daytime pads for the non-postpartum time. i have about 8 to 10 of those.
if you'll be doing laundry very frequently i guess you could get less but honestly i'd rather have more and do laundry every day or two than be doing laundry constantly, especially right after i've had a baby. kwim?
thanks, klothos! we do CDs, so if i can get away with not laundering every day---i'm . i wonder how long the sale's going to last???? i gotta get shoppin'
Sorry, one more question---I understand the difference between the all-in-ones and regulars, but what are the advantages of each? I'm assuming the regulars you can stuff with more or less according to your needs....? Any input would be soooo welcomed! What is the general preference?? All the best!
i've never used the all-in-ones because i prefer the flexibility of using the pocket-type (i guess that's what you meant by regular?). i like that i can make a pantiliner into an Amazing SuperFlow Maxi by just adding some liners.
I remember reading that one (possible) disadvantage of aio's is that they are more difficult to thoroughly clean and dry (one big, thick layer). That stuck with me, and is the reason I prefer inserts...although the aio's that fold up before using, and fold out to wash, would eliminate that problem....
I have some Rhythm & Blues AIOs - they're the type that fold up, no insert. Easy to wash, pretty easy to use, and they're pretty, too. I have heard people complain about the PUL in AIO styles - that they feel like it doesn't "breathe" as much - but I don't have a problem with it. I have a real leak phobia when it comes to menstrual products and I like having that protection!
