My bathtub is backed up. I tried the vinegar and baking soda but it didn't work. Need another idea. Thanks.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Does your drain unscrew? Ours has a small screw in it that you unscrew one way then unscrew the stopper the other. I do it about once a month and yank a small animal out of there (nothing chemical, just clogged with hair!)
If you can't do that, try taking something like a straightened out metal coathanger to reach down in there and drag some of it up until you can get it with your hands.
Kind of a gross job, but you can do it!

Hi,
My husband used to be a chemist and he says that there really isn't anything wrong (environmentally) with using Draino because it breaks down into its components *really* quickly in the water system. And we use nothing but natural cleansers, etc. in our home, so he really means it. Our tubs clogs up all the time and we use it. Just make sure not to use anything like vinegar or baking soda at the same time as Draino because it reacts very easily with any other chemicals.

Plumbers will never use chemicals like Draino in their own homes. It is damaging to your pipes.
