Rather bland article. No mention of what the "incorrect mix of formulation" might be.

None seemed worried (everyone ff's except 2 of us, so it's like 10:2...if more mums came it would be ?:2, that's the young mums around here for you), but it was more like no-one wanted to think about what that means for their precious formula. So convienient! Best for baby! So easy! blah blah blah.. (more like so easily stuffed up in the manufacturing process! nervewracking! a hassle! complicated! higher incidence of illness in ff babies! yay!) Just two weeks ago they were defending to the death (though no-one was attacking them) because "everyone knows it's just as good, better even!....that there's no need for breastfeeding any more... etc. etc."). In the brief amount of time we talked about the recall I mentioned in passing that I had read that there is not a brand of formula that has not been recalled at least once, and I was just talked over. They don't want to know. |
and here i thought y'all aussies were so much more advanced than us americans on this front. (oh well, at least you guys stopped circ'ing! uh, right?)
don't let it get to ya' sweetie. Just remember the source and that some of them may actually have tried and given up because they thought it was too hard and regret it now. Sometimes when I run into those people, the ff is just as good type, I later hear how they tried(?) to BF and I wonder if their vehment defensiveness is a little bit of jealousy because I managed to make it work, where they failed IYKWIM. (and I don't mean the ones who are physically incapable)
