Mosquito repellant...Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap

Hello! Someone on here mentioned using Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap diluted with water as a mosquito repellant. How diluted do you make the mixture? We have tried Burt's Bees and it works okay, except I have MCS( multiple chemical sensitivities) and it bothers me. Am hoping the peppermint soap will be effective for my kids and won't bother me. Am just wondering about the "recipe" as have never tried this before. Thanks! tinybutterfly

It was rubysmomjess!

I found the thread, it was rubysmomjess! Just wondering how strong the peppermint smell needs to be? A few drops of the soap to about a tablespoon of water? I don't mean to sound so confused about specifics, but smells really bother me, even most essential oils are problem. But...like the Burt's Bees, I will put it on my kids and just try to stay upwind if I have to...just hoping to try something effective that maybe won't bother me. And if very lucky, I can use it, too! Thanks! tinybutterfly
