Similac found me already! Am I the first?

Ah, I got a wonderful "Welcome to a new world of wonder" brochure from Similac today. How nice of them to tell me that Similac is "So much like breast milk in so many ways" and that Similac has a "patented blend of special breast milk nutrients called nuclotides, which has been clinically shown to help support the development of a baby's immune system like breast milk".

What bastards! There is no way this should be allowed by law, NO WAY.

Not sure how they found out I'm pregnant, I know it wasn't my doc. I'm thinking maybe my insurance company? Or maybe it was Babycenter... oh well, I'lll just keep all samples and give to the local shelter like last time.

I haven't been targeted yet... but this time I will not give out my name and real address to anyone. Last time I was naive enough to fill out the contest forms at Thyme Maternity. Man, was my house filled with junk mail and samples.

I don't get how they're allowed to advertise like that either, but I also don't get why some women fall for it. I don't know how many women there are at work who don't have a freakin' clue what's going on with their bodies and they buy the crap their ob's throw at them about large babies and inductions, emergency c-sections etc. So this really is just another form of the same.

Nope, not me yet, anyways! I'll do the same if I do receive anything;give to a local shelter or something of that sort.

I am getting the huge cans of formula from my miscarriage. I made the mistake of signing up with babycenter. I'm pretty sure they are the one selling my name. I made a big deal with them about not getting any more pregnancy information after the miscarriage. I finally stopped getting the e-mails but now I'm getting the diapers and formula. They should ask you if you plan to breastfeed or cloth diaper before they send the samples. I wish I had the money to buy lists of expecting parents and send them information on the benefits of breastfeeding.

What a good idea! Maybe LLL could do something like that?!

No formula yet, but I'm always getting diapers in the mail.

No formula here

Did you buy any maternity clothes from Motherhood?
We have a big problem around here with that store selling your info to formula companies.

I did get formula coupons along with tons of other baby coupons from Target a few weeks after I bought a pregnancy test from there.

I think babycenter must be a big culpret. I signed up with them with dd, and got on the list.

Haven't gotten anything this time around yet, and I don't think I've signed up anywhere either- unless one of you is going to turn me in to the formula people,

If you gave anyone your due date and address it could be them. Motherhood is a big culprit. That happened to me the first time and then the second time it was my Dr.'s office. This time I have yet to recieve anything
