February Due Dates Unite: Week of June 13-20 - Page 3

Well, I don't knwo that there is much to be seen other than a fetal sack and maybe the poles, I'm not 6 weeks yet afterall. I had my first U/S a week later than this last time and saw a heartbeat. We'll see, and I'll come and let you all know as soon as I do.

5 weeks 1 day

Good luck Shannon!

cross-post from "Betas" thread since I think this gets more hits...

I just got back the results (blood was drawn yesterday (mon) morning). My beta is up to 3106 which is more than doubling every 2 days from 326 last Wednesay afternoon. But my progesterone is 11.6. It was 13.0 last Wednesday. I'm kind of worried. My OB is going to call me back this morning to let me know whether I should be taking supplements. I never had to with previous pregnancy. What could be causing this??? Should I definitely be on supplements, or what?

Hi All

Still feeling shy about being here...would like to see how the week plays out - I mean it's only 14 dpo!

My doc's office will be faxing quant beta requisitions to a lab near my work, so feeling good about that.

Question: I just realized that O/S doesn't give you a nice count of how far along you are...how do I figure that out again? any links you could send?

Wondering how I'll proceed wrt care...I am planning on planning a hb with mw, but I do love my new OB/GYN...hoping I can still keep her somehow, esp for later well-woman care (do NOT like my GP!).

Jenny - I agree with the others - we all feel a whole range of emotions - this is the place to share.

Wow - so used to signing off with ...

Where your levels measured with your previous pregnancy?? From what I've read, many women have low levels and do fine. The progesterone issue has me paniced this time too and I'm beginning to think it's less to worry about than I'm making it. Don't get me wrong, I'm still on the suppositories adn will likely demand the injectables this afternoon as I've certainly read that the absorbtion is more reliable with them, but I've kinda (hahahaha, yeah right) stopped panicing about it as none of the staff at the fertility clinic appear to panicing about it.

Heve, when was your LMP?? I have a book that has a chart--actually you have the same book, Mother of All Preg Books--there is a chart in there.
LMP= last cd 1? May 21. Thanks!
heave i read where you add nine months and then subtract 7 days. but this gives me a different day than fertility friend. but honestly, every site i visited has given me a different day LOL all within a week of each other. but just remember, if you o'd much later than cd14, those charts are not always accurate. i try to always use the conception date instead, since i usually know that :

have you tried babycenter.com?

shannon, can't wait to here the results. if the machine is *really* good you might see a heartbeat. hopefully so!

yeah periwinkle! any word on the supplmeents? i'm on prometrium right now until week 12. hopefully i'll make it that far lol.

Yeah, I remembered after that I knew your LMP!! (It was my insemination day) You are due Feb 25.
Off to get my blood work done so they have it ready when I get back there at 2:00
post #49 of 174
O/S gives me an EDD of Feb 22, but it doesn't give a status like FF does, ie 4 weeks, etc...I O'd on June 1 (CD 12).

Baby Center puts me at 4 weeks, based on conception date.

good luck Shannon!

Hi all. I'm back from my meeting. I'm feeling really exhausted but I mostly attribute that to my dd who was awake for a random hour in the middle of the night for no reason. I'm waiting on my bloodwork and am definitely on a rollercoaster emotionally. One minute I am sure everything is fine, the next I am sure it isn't. I guess time will tell.

Fairymama: I'm glad you're back and I'm sending you lots of sticky vibes!! I really know what you mean about wanting it to be over quickly if it's not going to work. I've been quietly telling this little being inside me that if it isn't planning to stay that I will let go...My m/c was also long and drawn out and I don't want that again.

I had a very sweet dream about a new baby last night. I woke up with a smile on my face.

Shannon: I am sending you top notch u/s vibes!! Very exciting!

I'll post later when my beta comes back. Need to take a quick nap.

Heve, if you know you O'd on June 1st then don't use your LMP, since unless you have a perfect 28 day cycle (with a perfect 14-day luteal phase as well) because then the LMP method doesn't work. Gestation is 38 weeks from ovulation/conception (or 40 weeks from LMP if above is true). So that means you are due

6/1 + 38 weeks = Feb 21st due date (Feb 22nd would make your last week 8 days, if that makes sense -- but Feb 21st midnight represents 38 completed weeks.)

Like I O'd on May 25th and have a due date of Feb 14th according to FF and that calculation I just did on my calendar... that's 38 full weeks from 5.25

HTH!

Oh, and Heve, I am still freaked out by being here. I'm not a "count your chickens before they've hatched" person and so feel kind of weird, but it is really really helpful to have others going through the same things, same symptoms, etc etc.!

***
Shannon, I completely agree with you. It is so hard not to freak - all you read on the internet is how low progesterone is associated with bad pregnancies and you need to supplement. Then I read some articles that there's nothing you can do - supplements or no - to stave off a miscarriage. As in, there is some doubt as to the efficacy of progesterone supplements. And still other articles say hogwash to all of it - that progesterone levels vary widely and just part of natural human differences.

BUT... my progesterone at 5 weeks was a friggin 11.6! Argh. I would clearly be a lot happier if my progesterone were above 20 right now.

Good luck with your sonogram! Post a photo of your dt (dear tadpole!) I hope to get a sono of my little one by next week too. Let's have some nice strong

Thanks Periwinkle! So, O/S wasn't too far off then. I'll have to start a calendar to keep track of which week I'm at...so if I O'd on June 1, then I'm 2 weeks, not 4 (the way it's calculated using LMP). But MWs and OBs use LMP, right?

Happy napping, Ellie'sMom ! Sweet dreams! How lovely - I haven't had one of those in a long time...

I went at lunchtime to get my beta done...I suppose the results won't come back until tomorrow.

Thinking of Shannon...she goes in in a few minutes!

I'm having such a busy work week, and it's only Tuesday....me too, me too! group nap!!
Busy schedules suck. Tonight DH plays softball (must take kids and go watch to cheer him on, fun fun - NOT), tommorrow night we are going to a memorial service for a friend of mine that passed away last week, Thursday night is looking good for staying in though... can't wait!!!! How pathetic. :LOL

Thanx Denise - really appreciate it. It was very unexpected - looks like he overdosed on Heroin (sp?). I hadn't seen him in a couple of years but had heard that he was wrapped up in that kind of life. So very sad. He was always so cheery and happy - lit up a room with his smile. Makes me sick what people will do to themselves.
