WELCOME Mammas!!

Reason I wasnt around at all yesterday, was that My beloved German Shepard died yesterday.........

I am still in shock & SOOOOOOO upset. It has effected me soo much I just keep bawling. EVERYTHING makes me think of her! I keep having to rationalize it all over every 1/2 hour or so..... I am in SHOCK.

Not to mention the fact that I am now left with 7 puppies to mother that are only 4 weeks old... I want my Kyah back!!!!!!!! I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!

She cut her leg down to the tendon, trying to go under our chain-length fence into the garden.... and it was gonna cost us 350 bucks for surgery!! AND we couldnt afford it AND she already had another genetic problem common to shepards anyway.... NO CURE for it. so it was a matter of time for her anyway because of her quality of life. (wich has been decent up till now) But this was the last straw.... There wasnt any way we could afford it andthen possibly end up putting her down in a matter of months...possibly a year.. It was inevitable. A matter of WHEN, not IF.

And <sniffle, sniffle> the surgery could have not been a sucess either, so then Id end up right back there anyhow.

So ........ I .......... made.......... the ....... call ..........

I signed her over!!!

OHHH THE GUILT!!

Oh the "what IF's!!"

PRAY for me, PLEASE!! And Kayleigh- my 3yo. Keeps askin where Kyah is...
I tld her the truth, well that she had a bad owie they couldnt fix & now she's gone. She died & is in doggy heaven (though I believe animals have no souls-since they weren't created in Gods immage) But it was the best I could do. She still wants us to go "Get her & Bring her home"

Oh, Ms.Doula, I'm so sorry about the loss of your dear Kyah. Praying for God's comfort for you and your family and wisdom in explaining things to Kayleigh.

I've spent most of the day being terribly unproductive work-wise. I've got rather horrendous cramps so I've been "laying low", as it happens. I've not done any "paid work" but got a bunch done on a pair of knitted soaker shorts and spent way too much time on these forums.

A Christian my whole life here, and I just wanna say that the Lord is truly amazing and awesome. A friend and a father. I don't know what I would do without Him.

NM- I've been thinking of you and wondering how you are.

Ms. doula I lost my best dog of 11 years 2 years ago. I wish we lived close I would be more than happy to help bottle feed a couple pups. Oldest dd has bottlefeed a few kittens and is so good with animals.

Thanks, SQ!! It is tiresome. I am starting them on Iams Large Breed Puppy food (dry) and mixing it with water/formula.... letting it sit for a half hour so its almost mush.... I figured they were about ready anyway.... 4 weeks & their teeth are now popping through...

NM- I have yet to share my story about loosing my Precious daughter......
I will. When I am not 'nursing' puppies in adition to my own two..... :tandem :LOL
It will be very soon, I promise! (I'll try to write this weekend) Or you could always call me!!

Let me just say that our Lord, YHWH, is Faithful! He is oh so generous of the things we need. He loves to give freely to us, we need only to ask. I would not be here today, if it wasn't for the Lords' faithfullness and Agape Love! And Let alone, Married, to a man re-dedicated to Christ nonetheless. With two little girls ages almost 3 & almost 2 yo. who sing worship with me everyday & who claim to love Jesus too!?!?

When I get to a point that I just CAN'T go on.......
I get on my knees and scream, beg & cry out. :

It is *IN* brokenness, that I find my Savior's Heart.....

My mom recently bought a collie pup and that's what the breeder was feeding the pups during the day and at night they nursed with the mom. Not sure why though, I thought it was strange.

Anyway, I'm sure they'll be fine. :

What genre of Christian Rock is Pedro...? I haven't listened to Christian music, other than children's or a select few others, in years. I am tremendously OUT OF THE LOOP in that regards...

Ligmom and RacheePoo--how are y'all?

DaryLLL? Did I scare you off?

My dh says you can call it indie rock or lo-fi rock. I have no idea what the latter term means.

Hi all,
I read this thread every now and then in FYT and just read this new one tonight and thought I'd jump in. I've been walking with Christ since 92, although He waited patiently while I looked down different paths for a while after that. I recommitted my life in 2000 and dh and I were baptized together in 2002. It is awesome to see how God has worked in our lives. We have one sweet little peanut waiting for us in Heaven and two amazing blessings here on earth. And, following the m/c and the subsequent birth of ds#2, we have decided to be a "quiver full" family. Although we think we'd ideally like 4 kids, we are also no longer using any b/c and allowing God to work through us entirely. We are a bit more crunchy than our Christian friends, although one of my closest friends IRL also cd's. We cd, bf (well, I do!), co-sleep, and plan to homeschool. I'll actually start homeschooling my 14 year old niece in the fall and am very excited about that. Anyways ... just a little about me!

PS: Third Day rocks!!! Oh, and Switchfoot is really cool too! Hmm ... we listen 99% of the time to Christian music ... right now Third Day, Switchfoot, Joy Williams, Nicole Nordman, and Watermark are in the cd player. Ds#1's favorite video is Steven Curtis Chapman's Live Out Loud concert!

Great story! Thanks for sharing.

We have a fantastic Christian rock station here that I listen to often in the car. Some days it is just so nice to get in the car, put on that station and take a long drive...

hi :)

it's late and i'm tired, and i really hope that i'm not intruding, but i've been struggling with this for a while and thought maybe someone here could help.

i wasn't raised in any church, although most people i knew were Christian. for those of you who were not raised as Christians, how did you come to be Christians? i love the teachings of Jesus, what i know of anyway, but i don't know if i'd call myself an actual Christian yet. i don't know that i believe everything that Christians believe. i don't know, i'm very confused...
anyway, if you don't mind, i'd like to hear how you became a Christian, or if you have any advice for me.

am i completely hijacking your thread? if so, i'm truly sorry...

mamaley....YES, you ARE welcome here....

I'll share more of my story later but for now, I;d say that know even in the confusion...answers WILL come. Confusion WILL part ways and let clarity though. The hardest part is waiting. My only advice is to search your heart and try to rest that YOU have a tremendous amount to offer.

Again, more later....but welcome to our THREAD. The mamas here may be but they are all WONDERFUL, funny, sincere women. (no men yet, right?)

another hug for you

I hope you can rest.
