Ours is about a year old - the 7000 model.
Edited to add that we also don't have a "squeak kit" and have never heard of this... we have no problems with any squeaking. Ours is a Select Comfort Sleep Number bed, perhaps there is another company with something similar out there?

I agree with hellokitty.
We also have the 7000 series w/2 air chambers (I didn't even know that they made a single one

) and have never had a problem with sex, squeaking or squeaking during sex. LOL I also agree with thundersweet... it tends to work a little better if you have both sides firm when you want to get busy... On second thought, who wants to have sex in a bed anyway??

Okay, okay. Seriously, now. We have no kids, so the co-sleeping issue has yet to be tested. The main reason we bought the sleep number is so we could customize each side.... so the single chamber wouldn't have worked for us anyway.
