This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Have you heard Paul Pena? He was around about 30 years ago, but is just being re-released these past few years.
Dh is a musician and is blown away by this guy! Apparently he was the source of soooo much of the best music from that era. You can hear a lot of resemblance from songs that were ripped off of him.
Anyway, he is incredible. It's old, but it's new-- ya know?

Check out Leftover Salmon; also, their lead singer/mandolinist Drew Emmitt has a solo CD out that I've been jammin' with!

Have you heard of Josh clayton-Felt? He was lead singer in a band called School of Fish in the early 90's. He died last year from cancer, but they just released his last cd a few months ago and it is GREAT. Alot like Jack Johnson. Youd like it!! The title is Spirit Touches Ground.

Thanks for this thread ...
After Jerry left the world I hung up my headphones. Wasn't able to make the "transition" that a lot of younger Dheads made to Phish, either. And I've been wondering if anyone would ever make any music for me ...
Again, many thanks.

Ok, I got the scoop on Paul Pena. what happened is that he WROTE a lot of what others played and his own recordings were never released until last year.
In fact, Paul Pena wrote "Jet Airliner". You know, the one that Steve Miller played. Muuuuch better by Pena. In fact, Steve Miller kinda ruined it (IMNSHO)
Anyway, he left in the early 70's to go study some kind of throat singing in Mongolia, I believe and just returned last year. This is why his work was finally released.
Check it out--- it is incredible!
Oh, amyrpk, I never got into Phish, either. In fact, they drive me crazy. And I have seen them at quite a few shows thinking that maybe they would grow on me the way they did on dh, but it never happened. Also, the energy was never the same as at the Dead or Jerry Band shows.
to think I missed my last chance to see the Dead up at Highgate... Ughhh... still frustrated about it
Oh, anyone like Widespread Panic? I loooove them! I hadn't listened to them in awhile and then saw them on Austin City Limits on PBS the other night!

Check out Eddie From Ohio.
They used to be a local festival band here in the DC/VA area, but have really expanded in the last 3 years. They do shows all over the US. DH was a deadhead and I introduced him to EFO and he LOVES them.
