CONGRATULATIONS Seren! What a wonderful surprise!! (sparkling cider ) Welcome!!!
So Jenny was that a confession??????
I will also agree with Heve, and my OB was insistent on the fact that especially during early pregnancy, you should obey your cravings within reason, if you crave red meat, you very likely are low in iron and it's the baby's way of telling you it's what he needs. She said even sugar cravings, a study was done where blood was drawn on pregnant women within minutes of sugar cravings beginning and their blood sugar was low.
Ok, we're off now!!!

I forgot to say that last night I had a horrible, extreemely vivid dream. Didn't really have weird dreams with dd, with ds everything I dreamt came true, hoping this time I have horrid fake dreams insetad of ones that come true. Since last night I dreamt that dh died. It was so real I thought it was true when I woke up and was surprised to find dh beside me. I cried so hard I was so releived.

Welcome aboard Serenity. Wow there are so many Feb babies.
I just met a lady who is also due in Feb. She was going in for a pre op appointment. The Doc told her she was preg. She was so shocked because all three of her kids were conceived via invitro fertilazation. What a great surprise.!

Afternoon everybody!

I just wanted to put a little note about or for vegetarians. I eat a vegan protein bar every day that has 15 grams of protein. it avoids some of the issues with meat (chemicals, etc) and has lots of other vitamins and minerals. i'm not saying that people who eat meat are bad or wrong, but sometimes there might be another way to get the protein you may be craving if you want to stick with a vegetarian diet.

just an idea...hope i don't get flamed...

Hey,

I got really really pukey last night. I think it might've been the energy work (went to a Shamanic Kiva Story, and it was a high energy circle). Anyone know if energy work affects ms?

Also, interviewed a midwife this morning, LOVED her. have another interview in a couple of hours, but unless this one is magically better... we're going with the first one, we really connected.

Have to go back to work tomorrow, been on vacation yesterday and today. no clue how i'll handle the queasies at work ....
but for now, off to take a nap!

Yep I get dizzy - it comes from out of nowhere. The other day I got super dizzy sitting down watching tv! I was sitting sort of forward in my chair and all of a sudden - whew - super dizzy spell. It's bizarre. I don't remember this with my other kids but then my memory bites so .... maybe it has happened before too! :LOL

I'm sure it's just hormonal and nothing to worry about - everything I am reading seems to indicate dizziness is to be expected.

That's funny; I just got through telling DH how dizzy I've been for the past few minutes. One morning I woke up with terrible vertigo that lasted for about 20 minutes, but that has happened since.

I bought a scale today. I've never owned one; I usually just weigh myself at the gym if I think about it. I'm about 2 pounds above normal but that could easily be because I haven't been going to the gym regularly for the past two weeks. I, however, like to think it's the amnion, yolk sac, and rice-sized baby instead of flab. I did go to the gym this morning and it felt good, and it also helped with motivation for the rest of the day. There is also a new power yoga starting at our gym (only once a week though) so DH and are going together on Thursday night. Should be fun, or entertaining at least. Hee!

I'm trying to work up interest in dinner tonight. I had been craving meat regularly but now I'm craving....Pringles? Yes, the baby certainly needs Pringles.

I have actually been craving a cheeseburger for a couple days. Didn't think about it possibly meaning I'm low on iron. I'm having such a hard time eating. Everything sounds gross and when something does sound good, but the time I've cooked it and start eating it, it IS gross!

I'm having the all day long nausea thing. I've only been able to puke once. Yuck. I was the same way with dd.

How long does m/s usually last again?? It started right at 7 weeks. To the day.

I don't know who makes the lists of due dates, but, if you want to put next to my name that I am having a natural hospital birth with a great OBGYN, that would be great. I am really curious about those of you who are having unassisted home births. How does that all work (besides the obvious)?

tracie, i feel your pain or naseau. nothing is good, everything is bad, i think i'll go to bed now ... night all.

Evening all! My beta from yesterday was 3975. It more than doubled in 72 hours, so things are looking up. No more spotting or cramping either. I am tentatively sticking a toe back in the pool! Probably won't wade back in waist deep for a couple more weeks though. I'm still a bit gunshy.

I ate a roast beef sandwich from Arby's today. I can't tell you the last time I went to an Arby's. This may be the first time actually. I was working at the computer and I just suddenly had a real need for a roast beef sandwich. It was good too. I really want to stay away from fast food for both health and moral reasons, but I live about two minutes away from a street with every fast food restaurant imaginable.

I agree with what everyone says about listening to your cravings, though I can't for the life of me figure out what my body needed when, during my last pregnancy, I sent dh out at 10:00pm for frozen tater tots.

Welcome Serenity. I love your name!

I have to drive 3 hours and back tomorrow to visit one of my students at her clinical site. I have been trying to hydrate like crazy because I think the cramps I had on Friday were in part precipitated by not drinking anything that morning. Of course if I drink, I will have to stop to pee every half hour. Argh. I need one of those Lady J (?) things people use for camping. It is like a little strap on cup that connects via a tube to a bag. Wish me (and by bladder) luck!

Amy, could you put next to my name that I'm having a hospital birth with a wonderful family doc. I love my doctor. She is the only doc who spends as MUCH time as I need. It might mean that your appt is a couple hours late. But it is all worth it.

Yay Jenny, on the hCG levels and departure of spotting and cramping!

Baby needs Pringles! :LOL ...ya never know...! And baby needs mommy to get a foot massage, and a nice long nap, and ICE CREAM!
Apparently, my baby needs lots of shellfish and salt and vinegar potato chips! I seem to only want salty/savory foods right now, and I'm a former pastry chef. The only sweet I have been craving is peanut butter m&m's. But i too ate a steak last night, and it was great!

Just wanted to give a for preggie pops. I got mine today from Emmi Beans and the lemon one was awesome. Today was the first day I felt and I tried one of the pops. It worked like a charm. Granted, I'm very early on so who knows what will happen when I really get in the thick of it :Puke Only time will tell!

Thanks!

I haven't really had any cravings. No morning sickness either, but then, I have been blessed enough to never have that. I don't feel pregnant, except for being tired.
