Anti-christ question.........

This is a very sincere question.

I know a number of spiritual people. I know a number of religious people. I know a great deal of agnostic and of course I know a number of atheists. I have heard from several people from all the group, except for the atheists who sincerely believe that GWB is the (or an) antichrist. And these are not just 'flaming' liberals throwing the word around. I really mean it. They are kind of measured people in their thinking and tone and frankly I am not exactly sure they are even all liberal.

by the way, included in the mix is a Nostradamos devotee who also believes GWB is the AC.

so, my question is..do you think they are way off in this thought? Or do some people sort of feel it too. I'm not a scholar enough on the subject of Antichrist signs, hints, biblical passages... but I'm guessing there are a lot here who might have thoughts....

by the way, I put this here in spirituality and not in politics because it's not really a political question, kwim?

I don't think he is the anti-christ. I think the anti-christ will have mass appeal. I like GWB but there is a segment who doesn't.

well, that is a very good point..at at the very least he certainly doesn't have mass appeal internationally speaking.....

is the Antichrist suppose to have international appeal? Or could it just be appeal enough to a powerful sect which is another type of 'mass' kwim?

I don't believe in the anti-christ, but if I did my money would be on Nelson Mandella.

Hmmm, my preacher back home always said I was the anti-christ

Very timely thread ... I was in college when Ronald Reagan, may he rest in peace, was elected for the first time. And the standard opinion over the kegs was that *he* was the 'anti-christ.' I kid you not.

The evidence for said opinion was his name ... Ronald Wilson Reagan ... 6 letters each ...

:LOL

:ahem

from the biblical passages quoted, it does seem that there is at least a bit of support for the idea that bush is the antichrist.

i've considered it myself, also, mostly based around Nostradamus' prophecies...

but bush would have be to be much more well-liked and charismatic to be the antichrist.

i would say that what he's doing in the middle east is pretty much the opposite of establishing peace...

I think hes the Anti-Christ!

A commercial came on tonight supporting him & I said to my Son Chase who is 5, "that is one evil man. George Bush is BAD." He replied, "George Bush is the Debil!"

Bwahahaha! I have one smart cookie!

Yes, I would like to know too. I was a bit horrified when I read that.

Just a little thing really... He sponsored a big AIDs concert last year... and the name of the event was his prisoner number from back when... well many, many people had written the number on themselves.. on their arms, and even across their forheads. His prison number was 46664.

thank you all and nursing mother thanks for the scripture passages...and the list of previous holders of the antichrist title..that is quite a laundry list! I need to read it all a bit more carefully...

I can add one more note on R. Reagan...

his address was 666 but just before they moved back to bel air, nancy asked the city (los angeles---city of 'angels') to change the address by one digit. do a google search it will come up.

much to process....

Can you imagine who figured out that one.
