Yarn score!!.....What can I do with it??

I just found 2 skeins of Lamb's Pride 85/15 wool/mohair at goodwill for a dollar. It's bulky single ply. I'm a brand new knitter ...so far I've only knit dishcloths. Would this be ok for wool doublers? Seems a bit thick to use for a soaker...and I'm not quite there yet, lol. suggestions? TIA

I've seen it made into hats and slippers. It's great for felting. You could make pot-holders with it. Or a bag.

wow, good score!! i used to be a voracious thrift shopper and built up quite a good yarn stash- i used to crochet and felt a lot, and just now started knitting. i'm loving it!

anyway. if it's the really really thick type, i have one skein from that company that's really thick single ply, i crocheted a cool thick beanie cap that was oh so warm. it'd felt great- all the lamb's pride yarns felt great!! a wee felted bag would be cute. i used to be able to make up my own crocheted felted patterns... but now that i've started knitting.... i think i need to buy some patterns!
IF it is the really really thick type, you'd be able to pull the wool apart? you can use the left overs for needle felting or hand felting... the left over yarn wouldn't fit any other projects!

I made a sweater for DH out of this yarn. It is soooo soft and cuddly, but it sheds mohair like a :ignore and weighs a ton (stretched down to his knees practically)! You don't have enough to make a sweater anyway, but just in case you decided to go buy more, just wanted to warn you!

I definitely second the felted bag idea!!! I would love to make a nice think felted bag with a few pockets to keep my knitting in! What a score! Way to go!
