growing stevia

I've never even tasted stevia, but can't seem to find it in the stores here so I'd like to grow some of my own.

I've heard it requires a very hot climate, is this true? Also, what part of the plant do you use and how do you store it?

Thanks!

yes it does like heat.

ours was zapped last winter in a cold snap and a mistake (the plastic blew off of a greenhouse during a storm).

You can buy them from www.richters.com

let me know if you want to try some green leaf powder. I have over a pound and if you pay shipping I will send you a few tbsps.
