I've been very lucky that both moms have been very supportive. Helps that both used cloth too.
Now my Step-mom just like of looked at me with this "okay you are kind of odd" look.
But then I don't really care about her opinion anyways. I've never gotten the "you are up to snuff" vibe from her anyways so... (**censored**)....
MY MIL thinks they are great. She CDed DH, she was a very young (17 year old basically single because FIL wasn't around much) mom in the 70's and it was much more economic for her. And I think some of it was because she grew up in a large military family so any $$ savings was a good thing. I just need to lay stuff out for her since she isn't around them enough to know what goes with what. I try to only leave the AIOs out for her. But she does try.
I've seen a couple "interesting" combos from her.
My Mom likes to once and a while comment on that she CDed both my brother and I on 2 dozen flats... she HAD to wash everyday, sometimes twice a day.
Ooooh okay mom. So did you have to walk up hill both ways to school as a child and beat off that grizzly bear with your notebook.
:LOL Not my fault you didn't buy another dozen so that you didn't have a little backup.
But overall she thinks its great. Both my brother and I reacted to disposibles and too plastic pants so we were just in flats with a lap pad.
She's even pretty good at matching stuff up when she helps me fold the diaper laundry.
She will also go in and dunk and dunk the diapers.
I just can't do that. :LOL She also bought some of our newborn stash for DS, which I still have some of for Radish.
ETA: Both are amazed at how "cool" the stuff that's available now is. They ooh and aaah over the wool covers and cute fabrics.
