Oh my gosh! I saw this popping up all day and wondered what was so exciting about parking a car...

Of course, there are still many times I wonder what is so exciting about parking the car, but I figure I'd rather not have either car, or garage rust, so some use is necessary....

Yeah, rusting is tough. You really don't want too much squeaking when you have to open the garage. It tend to wake the sleeping kids up. Sheepish.gif

Synthetic, or petroleum based?

i like water based because it doesnt hurt the car attachments that dont like the petroleum based ones.

It won't damage the car cover either.

Maybe your DH could get a smaller car.

New cars are expensive, and old ones I recommend against just because you never know the history. almadianna is right, water based oil is best for parking. Plus the driver and passenger can have lots of fun getting the car ready.

oh yes. this is very true. all cars need to warm up, especially after long cold winters. you can do serious damage to a car without some time to get ready under the hood, i think many of us forget that.

My husband kind of "hangs out" in the garage for awhile after he pulls in and it does get on my nerves. I mean if I need help carrying in groceries, I kind of expect him to pop out of the car and HELP me, rather than taking the opportunity to organize his tools or do some maintenance on the stupid camper. In fact the more I think about this, I am getting FURIOUS. I'm going to talk to him about it tonight.

And I hate camping, btw.
