Congrats Missy!!! Wooo hooo! Wonderful news.

Any tips or tricks, herbs? How much does your dd nurse?

ok, nursing-ttcing-charting mamas, I have a question as a newby to charting. When I got pregnant with dd, I wasn't really paying much attention to fertility signs (it was only our second month trying and we were on vacation) and I got pregnant right away. But, of course, now I want to get pregnant asap and I'm nursing so..... I've started temping, watching for EWCF and following a midwife recipe for getting preggo (found it linked somewhere here at mdc - includes b-6, vitex, b-complex, and I added EPO -- I will stop all of this after O and switch to prenatals)

Ok, here's the question -- I'm on day 3 of EWCF and my temp dipped this morning. How many days of fertile fluid do you all usually have? Last month I think I had 3 but I wasn't taking anything to enhance it and I was a bit dehydrated. (Oh, I'm also eating lots of carrots this week.) I'm hoping I'm one of those who show a temp dip just before O and tonight will be the night!

Any comments on my musings would be appreciated.

~Hope

I am 6 days post ovulation today and HATE WAITING! I would rather know right now that I'm not pregnant than have to wait another week to find out! Argh, it's so frustrating!! :

Slightly Crunchy- Well I have been using EPO 4 a day (don't know the dosage) from end of AF until O for 3 months now, drinking a cup or two of RRL tea daily (or almost ), and this month I tried drinking black tea or red tea in the morning for the antioxadants. My Dd nurses 3 to 4 times during the day, and when I conceived she was nursing 3 to 4 times at night too, but the kicker here is, and I'm still wondering what kind of woo-woo sense I had, but I started nightweaning Dd the night that I implanted (I had a pink spot in the moring 12dpo....so I'm guessing thats when I implanted). I started nightweaning, b/c my nipples have been so sensitive and sore (now I know why) and I was NOT being able to get back to sleep like I used too....but it was so easy. I explained to here before she went to bed that Num-nums were going night-night and that when she woke up in the night that she could hug mommy, but that there would be no num-nums. She said, "Big Kid.....Noooo num-nums." We give her a big high five in the morning and a nice long num-num session. Anyhoo....sorry I was so long winded.

Thanks for the congrats everyone!!!!

sorry forgot to tell you my due date, my midwife says March 11, but my calculations say March 28th, but she said we'll be able to tell better soon enough which is more accurate.

Divaostrich, it was good to read your post. If I really am pg, I cannot help but worry about how to night wean DD. She is so difficult to put to sleep and stay asleep that I don't know how I will do it if my belly was big! She is only 13 months so she doesn't understand much about milkies going to sleep. I wish she did though!! I also bounce, sway her to sleep for naps and sometimes at night too...I imagine this becoming more and more difficult.

She tosses and turns and sits up constantly at night, so nursing doesn't even really work to get her to sleep/stay asleep anymore. That's my biggest concern about having another baby right now.

I took one of the really early pregnancy tests that is supposed to detect 20 mIU/ml hCG and it was a BFN.

This is the fifth month trying and my husband has been telling me all month that he really felt like I was pregnant, so this one hurts the worst because I was starting to believe it.

just to update I am still waiting for 1st PP eggie, but dd is now 13 months

Well, I think I O'd on Saturday (at least that's what FF says - this is my first month charting and it's not really clear to me but my temp was higher today than any other previous day so...) -- if you get a chance, move me to 2ww. Boy, this will be a long two weeks.....

Aunt Flo for me. Please move me to waiting to ovulate. Thanks.

Hi all,

First off--yay Butterbean!! It's so great to get ppaf when you are really really wanting it to come! Wishing you a short and sweet ttc journey.

Lexymama, so sorry about the BFN. KHA for next cycle!

I'd like to volunteer to maintain this thread for August. I'm really having a hard time with ttc while nursing and my fertility being delayed. I know I haven't been trying that long yet, but with long cycles and a history of long cycles, and getting older, and not wanting children to be too far apart, I am already feeling a little discouraged. I think that having the thread will give me something to do while I am waiting around to o again.

If nobody else wants to, I'll start a new one tomorrow.

to all.

Thank you Slightly Crunchy! I know the feeling of being discouraged. I hope we all get some positive news soon. : Glad you'll be maintaining the thread.

Just an update: Maxi is 20 months now and still nursing. I have had 2 periods, June 3rd and July 3rd so thought today would be #3 but no sign yet -- though had a neg. HPT this morning. Not sure if I have a few symtoms or am imagining them. They seem to come and go....

: that they're real. There's an August thread now!
