Evening Primrose Oil Confusion

So . . .I started taking Evening Primrose Oil during the end of my last cycle (approximately 10 days ago). This is the first cycle I'm using it consistently. I'm now ONLY on CD 7, and I'm getting the stretchiest EWCM I've ever noticed. I normally O around CD 15. This is really early for me to be getting EWCM. I took an OPK and it was negative.

I know herbs work differently for everyone, but I wonder how much I can "trust" that I am approaching O based on my CM now that I am taking EPO? In other words, will EPO just give me more EWCM and not be related at all to the O date?

Any info most welcome!

Elena,
When I took EPO I had EWCM much sooner, and much more copiously than ever before. You can look at my charts and see how many more days, and how early I got it with the EPO. I did actually O earlier too, but I'm not sure that it was the EPO, or the green tea, or just a coincidence. I would use OPK's, and if they work well for you, I would trust those results.
Hope this is your cycle!!!

Hello

I have heard some conflicting information about EPO - mainly that it can interfere with hormones/temps/etc. Have you heard anything like that? I was taking it but stopped over the weekend after hearing that info.

Thanks!

I have heard that, too. I have low progesterone, and I've heard it can make it worse. This is the first cycle I'm using it, so I'm just experimenting. Not smart, but I'd never heard anything negative until after I started using it (and getting good CM), so I figured I'd keep going this month. I still can't find anything definitive, just comments from other message boards.
