Have you seen this?

http://www.manhood.mb.ca/

We've talked a bit about this before.

I'm putting it back up here for any folks who may be interested in having a look.

Ps. I don't know how well it works or provides protection from irritation but if I were a (circ'ed) man I would probably try this. And: "NO" I don't sell 'em. Although that might be a good idea someday!

I showed that to DH one day - he said it looked uncomfortable to wear. Has anyone here tried it?

It appears to be comfortable.

I imagine there is bit of an embarrassment factor though.

According to reports (I'm starting to think I'm gonna need to ackronymize that to ATR ), it apparently does help reduce the keratinization (callusing) of the glans to a noticeable degree, with a consequential increase to sensitivity.

Which is pretty much as standard biology predicts; when you abnormally expose any mucosa, even junctional semi-mucosa like that on the glans, it keratinizes in self-defense.

However, the downside is that one has to keep wearing it, because the newly-resensitized glans is supposed to be covered with something -- preferably a foreskin, of course -- and it gets very annoying, if not actively painful, to have it rubbing against the inside of one's clothing. . .and bedsheets, as well.

For people with doubts about whether restoration actually can improve penile sensitivity and function, and who want an easy way to 'test drive' the idea before fully investing their time and energy into the project, it appears to be a good product.

I recall no serious criticisms about it being uncomfortable to wear.

I can't speak to the embarassment aspect since I personally am pretty much shameless.

It says that public crotch-scratchers are typically uncircumcised - I'm wondering how valid that idea is. I'm not thinking it is valid at all, really. The foreskin doesn't just slip back, so that clothing can irritate the glans, just while you're walking around, does it? I wouldn't think so...

Kinda throws the whole thing off for me, when a statement like that is thrown out into the general sales-babble - because it doesn't seem right, I now doubt the whole thing.

All men are crotch grabbers. What they are actually doing is adjusting the parts or scratching an itch. The penis or scrotum can get into uncomfortable positions, get into a bind, pull pubic hairs and on and on. Most of us try to be discrete about it just as breast grabbers usually try to be discrete about adjusting their bras. Some times the need is so imperative that it just has to be done right now and some men (and women) are just less discrete. I doubt it has much if anything to do with the circumcised state.
