Need A Boys Name!!

We have a few possible girls names...

Heather Grace
Elizabeth Victoria
Victoria Grace
Amy Elizabeth
Heather Dawn

But we have virtually NO boys names!!
We had one possibility...

Zachary Jon

But my brother and sil had a baby in May and named him Zackary Dean! So there goes our Zachary.

We also liked...

Aidan Jon

But dh now says it isn't "doing it" for him anymore and our in-laws neighbors (and aquaintances/casual friends) have a son named Aidan. So we are having a lot of troubles here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We would like a strong name and really like Irish/Celtic names typically. (John is my dh middle name but I really like the spelling of "Jon")

Thanks in advance for all the wonderful suggestions.

Kieran is an awesome celtic name! Also, Liam (irish for William) and Riley. Connor and Craigh.

we used riley for our first son's middle name - i love it...as well as connor...this time, we've chosen a scottish name (we tend to choose irish/scottish/english names only lol) - ian, which is another form of "john"...john is too "plain" for me, i like all the cutesy, trendy names but dh doesn't so i was shocked when HE suggested Ian!
good luck choosing a name!

This babe had better be a girl or it is out of luck. i love William, but call him Liam- bf's sister's first is Liam. bf's son is Kieran! Argh!! I have an Alex, Gavin and Sean- I am stuck. We don't repeat first initials either so what toerh baby names do I like for boys? Gage, Gregor, Scott, Sage, Aaron, Aiden, Mark, and a while bunch of others that have been shot down. There are so many Roberts and Scotts and Marks in our families it isn't funny. Heck, my sister even took George! Her other son is Walter. Very old names for young boys, but good middles!!

DS2 wants to call this baby Cavin since it rhymes with Gavin. DD won't help since she is afraid we will take HER names for babies not yet even conceived!!!

If he isn't carful, if this baby is a boy his name will be 5. Or Quinn.

Thanks! Here are some that I found that I like...

Branson
Dillen
Keagan
Nolan

What do you think? We would probably use Jon as a middle name still.

I Keagan

One of my girlfriend's son's name is Keagan. He is 4...blonde, curly hair...it's just the cutest name for the cutest little boy! Her older son is Logan, which I think is also a great, strong name!

Ooooo....I like Nolan a lot too!

We really like Sean but our last name starts with S and is a one syllable name so it just doesn't sound right...

Dh doesn't like ANY of the names I like when it comes to boys! I have almost given up. I do think he likes Ian though...Not entirely Irish but still good.

Our son will be Alexander William. Liam Thomas was/is a close second. My girls have made it very clear that his name will be Alexander though. Anyway, here are some names from our list.

Brayden
Hayden
Aiden
Tayten
Keaton
Keenan
Teagan

I realized that I really like names that end in "n"

I second Rowan. I originally wanted to name my son Rowan, with all the lovely imagery behind it, but my husband vetoed it. He said that it sounded androgenous--do you agree with that? I think it's perfectly manly.

Iian is *Indeed* irish! It's Gaelic for John!

I have heard of both boys and girls being named Rowan.

Would it be silly to name him Ian Jon. That would be John Jon if Ian is gaelic for John?

Rowan reminds me of the Lord of the Rings for some reason. I think because there is a city called Rohan or similar? I also have seen it both boy and girl. I think I like the name Nolan. It means noble, which I think is quite manly.

I just wish my husband would agree with some of the names I like...Does everyone have this much trouble agreeing with their spouse/significant other?

We had picke dout Beck Loyal. Since allof ours were girls we never got to use it (never wanted a boy until we came up with that name. I don't think it meets any of your requirements but three children over the course of 7 years and that was all we came up with :LOL So it is all I have to offer up. Loyal is a family name but he has at least 3 great grandchildren so far named after him. Both names are scandinavian.

Rowan seems to be getting very popular. I don't know if that is a consideration or not.
