When did/will you have your first prenatal visit? - Page 2

I'll probably have my first appt somewhere between 10 and 12 weeks. My midwives are supposed to become approved by my insurance provider in 6 weeks, so I am waiting until at least then.

I talked to a midwife yesterday. She's one of three homebirth providers near me and the one who comes most highly recommended. She was really nice over the phone and I know she has decades of experience. We made an appointment to "talk" on Friday morning. I'm so excited!!! This will be my 1st homebirth and probably my last birth. I'm not too concerned about starting prenatal care right away, but I really want to get a birth attendant lined up and start figuring out insurance hassles.

I probably won't be going in for a few more weeks. My dr usually doesn't want to see me until about 8-12 weeks anyways. I'm not too anxious to get my prenantal care going at this point but I'm very excited to start planning another homebirth.

I'm due Mar 20 and will most likely be given an appt somewhere around mid Aug so I won't call till closer to that date. I hate having an appt that is a few weeks away as I get too excited and anxious and it seems to take forever.

I hear ya EMZ- But this time, my midwife was booked up 4 weeks in advance, Im glad I called as early as I did.

I am going to the MW on wed. DP want to attempt another UC but I really dont want to do that, I dont want to go to the hospital again, so I am making him let me have a MW! PERIOD! I am pretty excited and I dont have medical but the midwife here told me that in WA state, the state medical pays for everything but $47 for a homebirth! what the heck- I was like SIGN ME UP BABY!
