I did it! I talked her out of it!

I'm so happy! I just found out my sister is pregnant about a month ago... I asked her if she was going to have a boy if she was going to circ, and she said "I don't know... probably" We talked again yesterday and I gave her all the info I have and told her how easy it is to take care of. She's a very "natural" person... so for her to be a natural mother just makes sense. She told me today that after reading all my information and knowing all of the myths out there helped her to choose AGAINST circ'ing! YAY!!!!!

She has a lot of common sense and doesn't usually follow the "trends" so I wasn't TOO worried that she would circ but it still feels like a win! In my area, not circ'ing is RARE. Everyone thinks I'm wierd for not circ'ing my son. Well, now my sister and I can be wierd together! LOL

That's great! I know you think you saved one boy but you probably saved his sons and grandsons and great grandsons, etc. Your friend will also now speak out agaonst circumcision and will convince other parents who will convince other parents, etc. You have probably saved hundreds of boys.

How wonderful! I agree with Frank. We have no way to know how far reaching this information will be but certainly it will go far and affect many others.

That is great news.Perhaps you and your sister would like to help in stopping medicaid funding of circ. in ohio.
The state rep. who could help in this area recently got back to a local activist and said that medicaid funding for circumcision will continue because circumcision has SO MANY BENEFITS. It frustrated me so much to read that.Atleast there will be one more normal boy added to the ohio ranks
Sara in NE ohio
