Sewing with stretch knit- need advice

Thread Starter
I got some stretch knit fabric at Joann's the other day and I'd like to sew up a pouch sling. I've made other slings with cotton woven- what will I need to o differently when sewinf stretch knit? Different needle, size, etc.? Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated

A ball-point needle would be greatly helpful in a size appropriate for the weight of your knit (some needle packs are labelled as being suitable for "light-weight knits" or "medium-weight knits", etc.).

Happy sewing!

Make sure when you sew your sling that you sew it so the pouch stretches OUT and not DOWN.
