I really wish I had a scanner or digital camera to show you, its sooo cute
, if I do say so myself. I used the new conceptions quick wrap pattern and a wool sweater that I bought from a thrift store. I only slightly felted the sweater (so that it wouldn't be too stiff and thick to work with) and used both the front and back of the sweater to make a two layer wrap. By the way I used the stitch and turn method so that all the seams are on the inside. It looks great with the gussets and am really pleased...now for the problem.
I don't want to put hook and loop on the wrap. This wrap will be for my nephew and my sister says that the sound of velcro/hook and loop startles him and wakes him up everytime. If I do put on snaps, will I have to use a stablizer, like I said, the wool isn't felted very stiff. What about buttons? Snap tape? Any of you creative mamas have any suggestions or ideas ?
