Jess :

Hugs to those rebooting

Stream! Hope your stay is short and sweet!

So -- quick question: what is up with this -- my temp is the same it's been for 4 days or so, but this morning my cervix is rock hard and closed tight. Wouldn't that mean I ovulated? How long before you ovulate does your cervix close?

Mike pulled his groin yesterday (playing soccer -- ever notice how most of his injuries come from soccer?) And per our trying to not GIO every day, I didn't get any! : (Not irked at him, just at the stupid rule I self-imposed, and at my yeast infection, which makes me -- I'm getting them right around ovulation EVERY cycle! That bites!)

We're going to go see I, Robot now, be back later

Belly Blessings!

Boy I could sure go for a poas every day kit! At least I would be DOING SOMETHING! This 2ww is something else!
Sorry for the reboots, gals. It sucks. What else can i say? Lots of hugs for you all and make sure to honor yourself today. Maybe take a llloonnngggg bath and read a new magazine....
Totally OT...I got a new car today! Woohoo! I've been driving a 95 Ford Escort for, well, since it was new! hahaha Today we went to our Saturn dealership and bought me a brand new white Saturn Vue. I LOVE it!

either CD83 or CD1

So, I'm spotting again. Not with any kind of volume, however. So, I guess we'll see what happens. Think red thoughts for me.

Johanna:

Sorry, that was the best I could do with the available smilies!!

MDC needs a "glad to get AF smilie" like they have over at Ovusoft (it's a moon).

Johanna - Doing an AF dance for you!!!! Hope its for real so you can start out on page one again. :

To My Cycle Buddies:

Mamaharsh - OMG your chart!!!

ShorinMama - I can't see your chart for some reason, but I will stalk you tomorrow!! You are right, 8dpo is so tough!!

Blah, it's been a hell of a day. I was in the worst mood all morning, alternately horribly angry and horribly weepy. Oddly enough the thing that snapped me out of it was hanging out with two of my closest friends (who are due within weeks of when I was due) and their families. I thought I'd have a hard time with it, but for some reason it snapped me out of my horrid state. Go figure...

Jess and W4B - those charts are looking mighty nice.

Stream

Jodi - our cat is controlled with insulin shots twice a day. She's been on them for almost four years now. We used to be really uptight about giving it at exact times and having someone come in twice a day when we are out of town, but we've learned over the years the extent to which we can "cheat", which makes for an easier life for all of us. PM me if you want more details.

Velvet - Welcome to the 8dpo craziness. Bwaahahah!

Angst - I've got my : for you. Your chart looks lovely.

Gonnabe, Desiree, and Adina -It's a hatefully long road sometimes. We are nearing the end of ours and it always makes me sad to think we may be done soon without our desired number of children. Big Big

Wow, I've been looking at charts and there are definitely some ladies who are going to be testing positive next week! :

Johanna, I know what it's like to have long cycles. I know in women who are sensitive, weight and body fat can affect cycle length. For me, my cycles became more regular and I was able to get pregnant once I gained a few pounds and my body fat was upped a bit. Also doing a lot of exercise can cause irregularity. Well, I'm sure you already know all that. I think my issue this time is mostly just nursing, but I just had my endocrinologist check insulin and some other hormones to make sure there's nothing else. It's definitely worth checking out. s as I know it's so frustrating not knowing what's going on.

I am hopeful for this cycle. I had a tiny tiny bit of brown spotting tonight in my underwear (10 dpo), but cervix is still LFC and there is nothing else there. I've also had pulling and tugging in the lower part of my pelvis off and on since 5 or 6 dpo. (I know I said before I had no symptoms; I guess I meant AF symptoms. Also I didn't know what to make of this cramping that has now gone away).

Katy, that test kit sounds good! Only problem is, how to account for those of us who double check with more than one LH strip a day or more than one HPT per day--just to make sure. :LOL Plus don't forget it would have to have a variety of different brands of HPT to test with for each day in the 2ww. Although, I don't know if I'll be able to bring myself to test tomorrow morning, as I had asparagus for dinner tonight.

: I got impatient and took another test which LOOKED like it had a faint line, but by 3 mins later (time elapse suggested on package) it was gone. Ore maybe it wasn't ever there to begin with. I really want to know. We just started trying, so it's OK if I'm not, but where in the hell is AF? I have a wedding and a bachelorette party to attend this week and I want to know if I should avoid alcohol, and since I get GD early, if I should avoid the damnable cake (which I bought) too!

AF...oh AF......where are you my lovely?

10 DPO,AF is coming

Just a quick check in . . .

DH and I had a long talk today about TTC. We decided that we weren't going to feel hopeless because one way or another, we're going to have another child. We haven't set any timeline or medical intervention limit, but if we can't conceive a bio child, we decided we'll adopt. DH is adopted, so it would be coming full circle. Of course, finances are an issue for adoption and/or extra medical help, but I guess we'll have to cross (PAY!) for that bridge once we get there.

So, that helps me "settle" things a bit and keep going. And then we had Ethiopian food, which always makes me feel better, too.

BOO to the recent reboots. I'll be joining you as a cycle buddy in a day or so. And I feel a big wave of BFPs coming . . .those faint lines sound VERY promising!!!!!!

Ignore your lFN (little neg, not Big, right?) Test again in a few days. I'm holding out until Monday. :

that. Yeah, they're painful. Yeah, they're annoying. The good news is they normally go away on their own. Pay attention to it, though. If you see streaky red lines coming out of the area and travelling far away from the original bite I'd get it checked out. If the "bite" area at the center doesn't heal or starts to look "ugly" get it checked out. Otherwise you should be fine just riding it out. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've had spider bites before just like

Ice really helps with the heat, swelling, and pain. You may end up with a yucky looking spot there that takes months to go away (kind of like a dark bruise). That's not THAT bad because whenever people ask you about it you can tell them you had an awful spider bite, but that you were too much of a stud to need to go to the doctor.

Hmm, maybe your bite will be my bite for this year. Growing up in the desert means I had all kinds of interesting things biting me.

Good luck to you,

Jess

Thanks to Jesse and Gonnabe for the spider advice!!!! It is definately improving today, still hot, and still a patch, but improving. I do have two striations coming out of it, but they are minor, and close to the bite. I don't think we have brown recluses in these parts, at least that is what I read, so its some other annoying spider.

On the 2ww..........I feel like I might honestly have a chance this cycle. Although I am playing little mental games so I won't be too disappointed.

Gonnabeamom, I am so sorry about the reboot!!!!!!

mamaharsh, I had this same kind of mood today! lets hope its pg hormones raging through us.

Miz, have you been at this ttc business a long time? I am really happy that you have adoption to look forward too, but still rooting for you!

Joanna, thinkin' red for you!
Velveteen, you're in the pacific north west? Well, I know Eastern WA has brown recluses and I've heard of cases where they've come out this way. I even worked with a lady who got bit by one. PLEASE keep a careful eye on it. She ended up with a severe fever and had to have all sorts of stuff done to her leg to get the poison out. not to freak you out, but its certainly something to think about.

Thank you, everyone for your red thoughts. I've only bled a little bit... still considered only spotting, in my book. Hopefully this continues and I'll be an angry pms mess.

No, we haven't been at it a long time, but because of my spotting issue, I don't know how likely it is that we'll be able to conceive. There are still many options left, and who knows . . .maybe weaning will work after a few cycles . . .but I just feel better knowing that we'll have another child, one way or another. My DH said, "In the worst case scenario, we'll adopt" but I reminded him that he was FAR from the "worse case scenario" and I'd be lucky to have a person like him as a son.

I'm glad your spider bite is getting better!!!! Scary!!

I guess it's too early in the day for the BFPs. I'm going back to bed!
