My good friend since high school had her baby boy yesterday, and has been listening to me talk about circ for the past 9 years. This is her first boy and although she told me two years ago that she wouldn't ever circ, I wondered if she would really be able to not cave to the inevitable pressure. She got no grief from her dh, lots from her mom and sister. Well, little Grady Ryan is here and will remain intact. My friend ha eclectic views in that she is very natural in many ways (eats all organic), yet is very anti-breastfeeding (thinks it's gross), yet she didn't circ her son. She's totally comfortable with the pressure and has done her own research. I'm so proud of her- I wish I could have worked on the BF thing, but the circ thing was far easier than what getting her to bf would have been.
