After yet another reboot this morning, after over 2 years of TTC and watching many of my friends online and IRL "graduate," I THINK I'm about ready to consult an RE. Truth be told, I am terribly chicken about it. I had a really early miscarriage (or chem pregnancy - who really knows) right before x-mas last year (the only one I know about since I haven't charted the whole time). The first 6 months of TTC were worthless (according to the ob/gyn) as I had a uterine polyp that had to be removed. My ob/gyn did lots of the common preliminary tests for infertility in the last year and dh and I are both "fine." He'd like me to see an RE, but I'm not sure what an RE could tell us at this point, since it's not even like I'm having a problem with reoccuring miscarriages.
Who has seen an RE, and were you able to correct any hormonal problems that led you to conceive naturally? For some reason, I'm extremely leary at this point of IVF, and I don't want the RE consultation to immediately lead to IVF. I still have hope that this could all happen naturally.
I'd love to hear about your RE experiences...
