So if I'm charting and my temp keeps going up...

and up and it's been 38 days (my usual cycle) but no AF yet...

does the temp drop before AF arrives?
This is the first month I have done a chart, and I don't really know what I'm doing...

It depends. For me, my temps drop and within 12-24 hours AF comes. I know Alexis's temps don't drop until a couple days after AF arrives. I would say the norm is for temps to drop first, but it's not a steadfast rule.

So, do you know when you o'd? How many days has it been since? Please post your chart so I can take a look.

I just started AF a few days ago and my temp didn't drop until the day after it showed up---until that point, it had been rising. My sig link shows a visual, if interested .
Are you TTC'ing?

My temp's usually drop drastically right before AF comes. Can't wait to see your chart!

not sure what we're doing... guess we don't want to jinx it by really TTC bc last time it took two years... I think we both want to but we don't talk about it. My dh got all excited yesterday when he saw a negative PT in the trash, and I said don't get all worked up and set yourself up for disappointment... I'm not pregnant yet!

P.S. I thought I O'd around the 15th day of my chart, but the website has other ideas!

With ds the first day of my last period was June 6th, and we conceived around the 18th or so of June, and found out by July 3rd, 2001. If I did get pregnant this month, my next dc would be born the same month as ds.

Well, you're only 14 DPO right now.. i'd wait 5 more days and test again. Then again.. I'm 14 DPO and will test again on friday. :

Wait a minute.. I just looked more closely at your chart.....how did you get an O date of CD 25? your CM doesn't add up?

also, I am still bfing a lot - does this affect temps and positive results on a PT?

what's CM? I don't think the O date is right. I think FF made it up according to my temps, which might be wacky bc sometimes I take them at 7am, and sometimes I take them at 8 am. I'm usually nursing all night long, but esp. after 5am, so I wonder if marathon nursing from 5-7 or 8am will affect my temps.

also, as you can see, we only had sex one day this month - due to me being away, etc. - so if I didn't O within a couple of days of that one event, I'm outta luck. That's why I really don't think I'm pregnant now. My cycle is usually this long.

CM - cervical mucus.
I think since you had EWCM on CD 18, it's likely that you Oed then... (but then again, I don't know much!! ) I'd wait and test again in a few days. or go to the doc and get a blood test!

oh please! now you are going to get me all excited! I have to be calm...

(what's ewcm? egg white? oh yeah... ok I answered my question... but I might have been wrong about the diagnosis...)

also - the refrigerator smells awful to me now. this happened only once before...
