Have you received a message that your PM box is full? Since you have a limit of 70 messages total you need to clean your files of those you don't need to save.
First of all clean out your Inbox. Inbox comes up as the default folder when you open your Private Messages control panel.

But the key to the cleanup operation is to set the "Show Messages From" menu to "The Beginning"

The default setting is "Last Day" which is why it appears you have no messages in your inbox until you change this setting. With it set to "The Beginning" you can see all the messages in this folder and delete those you don't need to save.
The next folder to clean out is your "Sent" folder.

Once you've opened this you should then select "Show Messages From The Beginning" as you did for your Inbox folder above and delete the saved messages you don't need to keep.
Another folder that might be adding to your space load is your Message Tracking. Just clear out those that have been read by the recipient.

That should do it!
