to get more unbiased views, look for a book on the history and philosohy of education that presents several methods

Especially the one above. Both systems can be wonderful. Every parent has to decide what is best for their child and family. No one system or school suits every family. I wish public schools would get that! I never realized that Montessori can also have a spiritual side.
