Follow up on coworker

you know, the one I was afraid to encourage who had a dirty UA? Well, I found out through her bf that she is clean. The only reason I found out was because he was complaining how now that she is out of the party scene she expects him to clean up and be around all the time now. to him, but I was happy to know the clean part. So, I went over tonight to get dinner to go and she was there. I had my bf info and some mags with me that I gave her. She was flipping through the info. I told her, that I would be there to support and help her if she wanted, but that if for some reason she didnt bf or weaned early please dont be like ------(another coworker) and feel like I am judging her at every turn and acting weird around me(another vent I am not ready to post just yet). SHe said, well I am not going to bf that long, only long enough for baby to get the benefits. I was all sad thinking that she was gonna say like a couple of weeks. But she said, like 4 to 6 monts. I was cool with that. This is from the same woman who when first pg saw me nip and said it was gross. Progress is progress. I am hoping that she will find it enjoyable and go longer, but I will be glad for what baby can get.

Yay! Sounds like you have struck a good balance in advocating to her Maybe later on you can give her some info about how long babies receive benefits from bf.

That is what I was thinking. Maybe when she finds out that AAP recommends a year she will go that long.
