Did anyone else see it?

Loved it.

I thought it was really beautifully filmed.

Makes me want to read the book. Someone gave it to me a few years ago and I never read it. Its still on my shelf.

I've not seen the movie. Loved the book. It's rather hard to get into, though. I'm usually disappointed when I see a movie based on a book that I love so I'm glad to hear that it is good.

Dh and I just saw this, and loved it. I was afraid that it was going to be really bad b/c of the reviews that it got but... I was really happy with it. We were thinking that it might have gotten bad reviews because it didn't live up to the book??? I don't know, but I really liked it and now want to read the book.

We read books together. Had to put this one down because the begining was so damn depressing. Did anyone "try" to read the book but have to put it down?

Last week, I rented the movie. It appers to lighten up. Maybe I should read the book again.

The movie was good, okay, but still didn't "do" it for me. KWIM?

I read the book a long time ago and liked it also. I usually don't have a hard time separating the two mediums-so it really didn't have an impact on my impression of the movie.

It was great to have that cast of most of my favorite actors, and Lasse Holstrom rocks imo. I wouldn't give it four stars, but I did give it three ...

I read the book and saw the movie. I loved it both! What amazed me, was that in my imagination, the old house on the coast looked just like the one in the film. It was the same with my dh.
