My Son 100

My 3 yo ds has decided he would prefer to be called 100 (yep, one hundred). He says he no longer likes to be called by his name, just 100 (or One-Zero-Zero on occasion). He has had such an obsession with this number for almost a year, but to change his name to it? When we use the microwave we can only put in the number 100 (if you want 4 minutes you need to enter 100 4 times), he likes to nurse for 100 seconds, he would prefer to go to bed in 100 minutes if I don't mind, he wants 100 raisins, etc.

I guess it is just another one of his "quirks" :LOL

Any other number Mamas, name-changers, or quirky kids?

I remember my little brother being obsessed with the number 18 (so glad we didn't have a microwave! )

Sounds irritating AND fun.

I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to get out the sewing machine and make a little 100-wear. 1-hundred Underoos anyone?

As I child I merely hated the number 9.

My son is as quirky as they come...but ME, I'm the number person. I posted on another thread recently that all things number-related (microwave, $ of gas, time on the alarm clock) must end in 6 for me. I even got my husband in on it! I remember using the number 3 for everything when I was 3 years old, then moving it to 4, then 5. By the time I turned 6, it was a conscious decision that I wouldn't change my "lucky number" anymore. I've kept it going for 26 years.

Everything around here is "one ohohoh nine". He has also taken to introducing himself as "Benny" anytime someone asks his name. His name is Jake????

Ah kids are so much fun. Someone asked his name today and he said "One Zero Zero, but you can call me i o o" (the letters that look the most like 100 :LOL). She didn't miss a beat and replied, "Hi 100, my name is fifty". He thought that was great. Everyone has started calling him one-hundred now. Strangers must think we are terrible for referring to him as a number :LOL 3 year olds are SO much fun (usually )

Oh my gosh...that is too cute!!!! (Although for sanity's sake perhaps he should start liking a lower number. I can't imagine counting out 100 of every single thing! LOL!) That is so cute though!

My little sister has cerbral palsey and her number has ALWAYS been 8. From the time she could talk you could ask her how many pancakes and she would say 8. Even now at 17yo my stepmom will ask her how many of something she wants and her first responce is "8", you then have to ask her "no really how many?" and she will respond seriously.
