Hey everyone

We're almost 13 weeks here, and doing good. Is it crazy to think that I actually felt the teeniest of movement this week? I've been skeptical that feeling movement this early is possible, and so when I first felt a teeny "tap" behind my pubic bone late last week I didn't think much of it. Then the night before last it happened again, in the same location & very subtle. I'm a small frame, so maybe so! Well anyways, before long I'll be feeling lots & lots

Gen, I began to limit nighttime nursing several months ago and it's gone very smoothly. My DD is a few months older than yours (she'll be 2 in less than a week... WOW!!), but I probably began at about 20 or 21 months. It just felt "right" for us. What I do is allow nursing at night as often as she likes as long as she's actually nursing, if you know what I mean. When she begins to nibble-nibble-nibble-pause.... nibble.... I tell her that "milk is going to sleep now", and count to 5. (now I don't need to count at all, she just pops off) The first night she was MAD. She was angry-crying, but not distressed-crying. She only cried for 2 minutes (which felt like forever to me) and I rubbed her back and talked to her gently. Then she climbed into my arms to cuddle and fell asleep! The next night was easier, and it's been going well ever since. I think for me the biggest part is doing it when they're ready. If she had been extremely upset, I would have known that it wasn't time yet and put it on the shelf for another month or two.
Oh, crying toddler approaches with Daddy! Guess my time is up
